Most HIV Typical Characteristics: Diarrhea, Sprue, Weight Down

Human infection Imunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is often not realized before
an infected blood test. But there are some typical symptoms that
characterize such infections, including chronic diarrhea, mouth sores
and weight loss.

In many cases, new HIV infections has emerged known as opportunistic
infections or broadcaster. Opportunistic infections that often
experienced by people living with HIV, among others Tuberculosisi (TBC)
pulmonary, extra pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia and oral candidiasis
or thrush.

But before various infections accompanying it mucnul, doctors can
already suspect a patient has HIV if it shows some of the most typical
symptom. The most typical symptoms are chronic diarrhea, mouth sores and
weight dropped drastically.

"If a patient comes with all the symptoms, doctors may suspect the
patient is a person with HIV," said Dr. Ari of Internal Medicine
Expert in a press conference at the Restaurant Munik Matraman, Thursday
(12/01/2011).

Although be suspicious, the doctor still should not give discriminatory
treatment to the patient. Discrimination against HIV patients usually
occurs because of a lack of insight into the doctors or health workers
about the virus.

When it finds a suspected HIV positive patients, Dr. Ari just concerned
because when it comes to showing symptoms of the infection would have
lasted a long time and may not be caught. And if detected early,
treatment would be much easier.

In a press conference, Dr. Ari also announced that at this time has
developed National Guidelines PAPDI Medical Services (PNPK) HIV / AIDS.
The guidelines will soon be inaugurated and signed by the Minister of
Health that contains 72 recommendations related to diagnosis, early
detection, prevention and treatment of HIV infection.
